Guide
How to play
Dialed Sound Game is a fast sound game: you get 3 tones per run. Your job is to match each target frequency from memory.
Rules (one run)
- Tap to listen to the target tone (one listen per tone).
- Drag the slider to match the frequency you remember.
- Submit to score, then move to the next tone.
Tips
- Use headphones at a comfortable volume.
- The slider is logarithmic — small moves can change the number a lot at the top end.
- Device speakers can limit high frequencies; compare your own trend over time.
Practice vs Daily
Practice is for repetition and tier progression. Daily is a once-per-day (UTC) challenge — the same tones for everyone on that UTC date.
FAQ
- How many tones are in one run?
- Each run uses three tones. You listen, match each frequency from memory, submit, then move to the next tone.
- What is the difference between Practice and Daily?
- Practice lets you repeat freely for skill and tiers. Daily is one challenge per UTC calendar day — the same three targets for everyone that day.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Progress and scores are stored locally in your browser unless you choose to share a challenge link.
- Why use headphones?
- Pure tones are easier to judge accurately with headphones. Built-in speakers often roll off high frequencies and add room noise.
- Is the hearing age result medical?
- No. Hearing age is a fun summary for sharing based on match accuracy — not a diagnosis or substitute for professional testing.
