How it works
Each round generates a small palette with related hues. One slot is hidden. You choose which option best fits the palette’s “family” and then submit to see the correct answer.
If you want to create palettes instead of guessing, try Palette Generator.
Scoring (ΔE-like, perceptual)
Your pick is scored by perceptual similarity to the hidden correct color. We use an OKLab-based ΔE-like distance. Smaller differences score higher.

Tips
- Focus on lightness first: the missing color usually needs to match the palette’s brightness rhythm.
- Then match hue family: warm vs cool, and how saturated the palette feels.
- Use Shades & tints to build intuition about lightness ramps.
